Unquera is a town located in the municipality of Val de San Vicente in the west of Cantabria in Spain, already bordering Asturias and located on the Tina Mayor estuary, at the mouth of the Deva river. He is famous throughout Spain for his Unquera ties. Unquera is also known for being the entrance to the Hermida gorge, the most common way to access the Liébana region, which has become the town’s main street. This route also belongs to the Lebaniego road, which connects the Camino de Santiago del Norte and Francés.
