  1. Cares Route:
Access: the route starts from either of its two ends. Either from Caín (León) or from Poncebos (Asturias). Keep in mind that the road distance between the two points is 105 kilometers.
  • Travel: linear
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Length: 12 kilometers (24 kilometers round trip)
  • Estimated time: 4 hours  hours (one way and with stops to eat and take photos)
  • Elevation: 300 meters elevation gain 
  • Essential material: water and food (it is several hours walking and you will need supplies)
2. Route from Poncebos to Bulnes
  • Access: the route starts from Poncebos (like the Cares route)
  • Route : linear (round trip along the same path)
  • Difficulty: low
  • Well signposted
  • Length: 8 kilometers (round trip)
  • Estimated time: 2 h 30´ (round trip)
  • Elevation: 500 meters
3.La Padierna This route is close to the municipality of Potes, in Cantabria, and has a circular route of 14 kilometers, with a drop of 1,281 meters, for which the estimated duration is seven hours. The difficulty of La Padierna is high, although it depends on the season we are in, it is in the winter when the route becomes more extreme and good equipment and sufficient physical preparation are necessary. Since the climb is somewhat steep, we can take it easy and enjoy the scenery while taking breaks, so we catch some air and we can continue the march without fainting.
